How Should Your Bra Fit? Key Tips for Comfort and Support
Band
How does your bra band fit? When you raise your arms, the band should stay put. If your bra rides up, it's time for a new bra. Pinching and bulging? Not good either, its likely time to be re-measured for a different band size.
Tip #1
The bra band supports 90% of the weight of your bust. Your bra should feel snug, not tight.
Wire
Your bra cups should fit flush to your body with no gapping in the cup or underwire poking into breast tissue at the sides. These are signs of an ill-fitting cup size.
Lift Tip #2
The centre gore of your bra should lie flat again your chest wall and not dig in or sit on top of your breast tissue.
Lift
Are your bras providing you with all the support you need? The most projected part of your breasts should align with the midpoint of your upper arm. If they fall lower, it's time for a new bra, the one your wearing has likely stretched out.
Tip #3
The most comfortable bra is one that lifts your bust up and away from your body.
